Hi,
somewhat connected to my question here:
www.linuxcnc.org/component/option,com_ku...0/lang,english/#9800
I have the following question: When I have G41/G42 on and try to switch on a digital output (M64 P01) I get the following error message:
"Cannot set auxiliary digital output with cutter radius compensation on". But I would like to :)
So, is there any way to configure EMC2 to allow this? And why is it impossible in the first place?

regards

There is no configuration for allowing that. I don't know but ASSUME that is will break blending or something like that.

www.linuxcnc.org/docview/html/gcode_main.html#sec:M62-to-M65

Use M62/63 instead.

Thanks for your help, John.
However, with M62/M63 I'm just getting another error message: "Cannot set motion output with cutter radius compensation on"
It would seem strange to me if EMC2 really did not allow switching the digital output on with cutter radius compensation on. Don't people normally use the digital outputs while milling?

I don't know of any reason to use a digital output when milling. Looks like cutter comp is picky for some reason or another. There are several things ( I forget what exactly ) that are not allowed with cutter comp...
