Voltage seemed ok. I got 3.36V when measuring. This was disconnected from the USB port ( this goes to a hub wich powers the touch pad and keyboard) the screen was not connected either.
The power supply was only 240W.
I am now using another PC (pentium 4). Everything is working fine for now. Latency is a bit higher then I would like (around 50000, with onboard video card) but no realtime errors for now.
The only problem with the new PC is that it freezes when trying to shutdown.

The RTAI kernel that you are probably using disables power management to get better latency, so you need to shut down manually.
