xml files 5i24

is there any pcnconf xml file for 5i24 ?

one option is to make a config for a 5i23 and then globally replace "5i23" with "5i24" in the hal file

another option is to do the same with a 5i23 xml file

you still need to manually remove the firmware=blahblahblah stanza from the
loadrt hm2_pci line and the 50 pin connector numbering will not match


Rumor has it that the next version of mesaflash will have an option to make XML files

Not yet but if you have the bitfile name, I can make a .xml file for the with READHMID

Actually the latest version of mesaflash _does_ make xml files

The command line would be something like:

sudo mesaflash --device 5i24 --readhmid --xml > somefilename.xml

I have mesaflash 3.1 but does not have option --xml outputs only PIN files .
What version has --xml option ?
Is there any newer version that supports xml output ?
Can i make xml for PIN file ?

pncconf knows nothing about the 5i24 so you will still need to fake things.
I would be happy but surprised if the mesaflash XMLs work perfectly with pncconf.
There have been two sources of XMLs to date and each are a little different.


I have done work on pncconf that reads a live system and in principle it works.
How to make it easy to use in the interface is proving a bit harder.
That and I guess my interest has waned a bit

I need an xml file for 5i24 svst2_8 for example..
I think the only solution is manual creating configs.

In bitfiles for 5i23 and 5i24 the pins are the same for example if i get the svst4_8 xml from 5i23 and replace the 5i23 with 5i24 will work ?

Can anyone modify for me the svst4_8 xml for 5i23 to work with svst_4_8 5i24 bitfile ?
