Is this a Intel D525? (I know the 5I25 works with that)
We do have occasional motherboards that dont recognize 5I25/6I25s
(though maybe only 10 times total and we have ~ 4000 5I25s sold)

Yes it is an Intel D525MW. I tried with two different boards.
