That worked ! I ended up setting it at 1650x1000 in the .axisrc file. I had problems for a while with .axisrc, it wouldn't let me create that file, it already existed but I couldn't find it. Apparently its a hidden file. I used the locate command and it found it but it did not show in file manager. I ended up doing a sudo mousepad and that opened the hidden file which I modified and saved to get the job done. Those instuctions should be updated to reflect that .axisrc is a hidden file so newcomers to linux like me don't run into problems.

Anything with a " . " in front of it is hidden under linux, so pressing ctrl+h in most file explorers will show them.
