Hello,I am currently trying to connect my Huanyang VFD with my Mesa 7i76e over the TB4 Spindle control.I connected them as andypough described in an older post.

10 to Pin 3VI to pin 2ACM to Pin 1FOR to Pin 6REV to Pin 8DCM to Pins 7 and 5Then Configure the VFDPD001 = 1PD002 = 1PD044 = 1PD045 = 5

The spindle is turning when i press the buttons in my gui but i cant change the spindle RPM, regardless what i enter via mdi it stays at 6000 rpm.I attached my hal and iniCheers, Nils

The ini and hal files look ok (assuming 10V = 24000 RPM)

This is wrong but would only cause an issue with reverse:

net spindle-vel-cmd-rpm => pid.s.command
should be
net spindle-vel-cmd-rpm-abs => pid.s.command

I guess I would look at the 10V and analog output to see if they are correct

i can measure the control frequency output just fine it goes up when i up the rpm but the spindle doesnt get any higher rpm. This is realy weird to me. I can even change directions but the rpm always stays at 6000, im lost here...

Sounds like a VFD setup issue of some kind if the 7I76E
can vary the speed command voltage from 0 to 10V

the main problem is solved, i had to set the Jumper on my VFD from 2&3 to 1&2 and now i can controll the spindle rpm via mdi and + - buttons.

Now im having a new problem, if i type M3 S"insert any value 6000 -24000" i never get the spindle rpm close to what i asked for instead they are higher.

I tried changing the OUTPUT_SCALE up and down but that didnt help either.

Can anybody help me with this ?

Cheers, Nils

Check that the VFD is set for 0-10V control, not for 0-5V or 4-20mA.
Also check that the control voltage is actually 10V.

tommylight i did check that pd160 is set to 1 for 0~10v.
The control voltage is 10v aswell.

Is there an encoder on the spindle ?
If yes, there are no connections to it it HAL file.
If no, using the linucurve
linuxcnc.org/docs/html/man/man9/lincurve.9.html
will help setting set values for set RPM

I dont have an encoder on my spindle, it is a standard 2.2kw chinesium spindle with huanyang vfd.

I will try lincurve but i have no clue how to use it correctly...
