While installing Linuxcnc 2.8.2 I came across this error (attached photo) while installing the os. Should I ignore or install the following files first before continuing? Or install afterwards

Afterwards. Given you can boot up without, should be okay.

I got my new PC this weekend and installed 2.9.1 (made a brand new USB installation media redownloading the iso) but it still has the same issues of the error when starting Linuxcnc. Also while installing Linux the following error came up of missing files (attached photo)

I would not worry about the WIFI until you need it.

Did you check the link LED on the 7I96S RJ45 to make sure you are
not losing the link when starting LinuxCNC? (this could be a 5V power source
issue at the 7I96S end)

What are the ping times now? (after Ethtool settings)

What does:

lscpu

report?

The ping times are now 0.067ms without the ethtool changes.
The link led blinks off very shortly a few times when I start up Linuxcnc

If the yellow link LED on the RJ45 jack blinks, that is the issue

Do any other 7I96S LEDS blink when LinuxCNC launches?

No only the green one very briefly blinks while connecting. There is no yellow link

If there is no yellow link light on the RJ45, there is a hardware issue.

What other LEDs are illuminated on the 7I96S?

I'm very sorry there is a orange link on the 7i96s. While starting Linux cnc it doesn't not change. Only the green link momentarily blinks off 3 times with a second interval in between.

I switched out the power supply just in case and measured the voltage and it's exactly 5.05v to the board

Only other light on the board is the power led
