Yea, you need to install drivers in Ubuntu to make it work. Searching on the web is how I figured out how to get one to work for me
What model touch screen do you have?

Elo touch screen monitor.
www.elotouch.com/Support/Downloads/dnld.asp
Do i have to change it to DISPLAY= touchy or could it be AXIS ?
If i change it i would have a lot of work with spindle speed bar to view actual RPM from encoder.

John,
How is your touch screen working for you? Can you tell me what model you have? To use the monitor with Touchy instead of Axis, is it as simple as changing the 'Display = Touchy' in the .ini file?
Thank you

I have two ELO touch screens and both are Intellitouch models with both serial and USB. The one on the BP is an ELO 1515L Model # E700813.
Not quite that simple, to use Touchy it requires at least two hardwired buttons to work and a MPG of some sort to jog.
I used Evtouch to connect the touch part to Ubuntu and had to hand edit the config file to get the XY scale correct.

Thank you, I will have to look into Evtouch to see what that is. Would you be interested in sharing what you had to do to the config file when/if I get to that stage?
Thanks again!
