Latency-schlecht wg nvidia Quadro FX1700

Liebe Kollegen,

Many thanks for the advice with the Matrox Grafic Boards. Dealing around with the drivers is too much for me. I just bought a Matrox and I am looking forward to it....

Gruß

The cards I have used were both G550s.

One was AGP, the other PCI, both worked well and were less than £10 from ebay.

Hi ArcEye, today i orded one as PCI.
Must i install a driver, or is it "PnP"? If Install needed, can you tell me how?
Thanks for a reply.

The driver package is xserver-xorg-video-mga

The package firmware-linux-nonfree contains the firmware for the Matrox G550
( Matrox G400/G550 WARP engine microcode (matrox/g400_warp.fw) )

Just make sure both are installed, BIOS is set to use the external card, fit it and start up and it should be recognised.

Hi ArcEye,
i hope the question is not to stupid, but can you tell me the way to install after the download?
I'm not the Linux Specialist, sorry...
