Vismach in Gscreen/GladeVCP was created by mlhilligsoe
Hi, I'm running Gscreen and would like to implement a window that shows the machine. Basically Vismach.
As far as I can find, the same question has been asked here:
sourceforge.net/p/emc/mailman/message/28934796/
and here:
forum.linuxcnc.org/48-gladevcp/34664-is-...ismach-into-gladevcp
But they dont specify how to actually do this. Can anyone guide me on how I can implement a Vismach window in gui?
Or is there a better way of doing this? e.g. some way of showing 3D objects in the gremlin widget?

Just use embedded tab for your purpose.
You can use gmoccapy documents to get first information about how to do it.

Vismach does not currently pass the XWindow Id when it starts so can't be embeded the normal way.
I forget how I temporarily worked around this for a test but probably got the ID number from the system monitor program and used it instead of the {XID} entry.
I never did get back to modifing the code to work a little more user friendly.
You might make a feature request so I don;t foget again - I am currently to busy to look at it.
