Ditto Andy, use the outputs in sinking mode

The other reason some outputs wont source much current is they are open drain
with a weak pullup, and this varies by chipset and port mode (SPP EPP ECP)

If you use the outputs to sink current, all this exotica just melts away and
the ports "just work"

OK I have modified the par port wiring to sink current and have tested each channel
with success. One mod I want to make is to invert the par port pin out. I consulted the
HAL manual and integrators manual but have not found an explicit example as to
the syntax to do this. I have attempted a trial and error approach but have not stumble
on to the correct syntax.

Can some one show me the correct syntax to produce an inverted output on a par port
pin like this one net xstep => parport.0.pin-02-out

Never mind I found it! setp parport.0.pin-02-out-invert 1

Thanks to all
