5i20 - 7i29 / 7i37-com / 7i33TA was created by Fremder
Hi everybody ...
i must anderstand the logik for this:
===========================
i have:
Base: 5i20
-P2: goes to > 7i29 (power Servo X/Y, Encoder 1 and 2) AND > 7i33TA for my "Spindle"
-P3 goes to-> 7i37-com (not importent now)
- the xy are allways ok !
===========================
every time i read:
pwm-frequency 2000 or other ... pdm 6000
in my OLD hm2-servo.hal
setp hm2_[HOSTMOT2](BOARD).0.pwmgen.pwm_frequency 40000 # !!! 40.000
i make experiments with PnCConf AND the output for SPINDLE its OK (0 ... 5 volt)
my XY are not good and in the
pnc-hal my_EMC_machine.hal
setp hm2_5i20.0.pwmgen.pwm_frequency 20000
setp hm2_5i20.0.pwmgen.pdm_frequency 6000
setp hm2_5i20.0.watchdog.timeout_ns 10000000
its this.
what is the different for this for my configuration ?
i think now (with 20000) its not the correct number for my 5i20 / 7i29
sorry .. .for this stupid ask.
i must understand the logik and not "make 40000" and good *g*
in the new configurations i think its better for the future work with ...
i hope i come back tonight and thanks for help/infos.
best regards

Optimum PWM frequency for the 7I29 is 20000 (20 KHz)
Optimum PDM frequency for the 7I33 is 6000000 (6 MHz)
Its really really important that the 7I29 PWMGEN mode be set to PWM mode (output-type 1)
so the PWMGENS on the X and Y servos should be checked for this before running
The 7I33TA will operate best with 6 MHz PDM (output-type 3) but will be ok with 20KHz PWM

thanks ....
yes ... i make it to yours "code" its going on ..... (no idea wy the old with 40000 its going good)
-> i drive with 2 DCmotors at the 7i29 = 2 x 20000 its 40000 ?????? (stupid or logik)
now i have the problem *g* .. my OLDconfig its runing with all off my pins/etc. GOOD
the new config gives me some new ways to optimized
in the "old" i write the 40000 to 20000 and drive are the same (good)
in the "new" ... its the spindle verry good - but not the drive
i make its with calibration (i think) 1 : 1 the same but not the same on driving
now i must make a finish and "say" > ok i make ALL new with the new config
or > ok i make a new PID-config/optimation and insert the pins etc.
very thanks again and good running

super
now its nothing work a little good
my Y-Axis is now not working (hard/strong and 1 mm errors) - with all old datas in the "old configuration"
the X Axis is nearly the old and work/run "fine"
it this coming i updatet to version 2.6xx ?
then i must download the old system ..
i have no idea but what can i do ?
this is the second where i must a complet-newInstallation for ubunto 10.4 / with old emc2
