My board (hobbycnc pro board) is not in the configuration selector.
What do I choose?

I have read in the wiki about choosing a sample file, but all I see is 5-axis:

My machine is a 3 axis, so I'm stuck here.

Hi

If you have created a configuration, it should be displayed at the top of the selections.

However from you previous posting, I believe you are after a simulator to experiment with g code

Choose the sim heading and from that either axis or axis_mm and that will give you a conventional 3 axis mill.

Ref your previous on transferring g code from windoze, download gedit for windows tocreate your code, it is free.
Select unix mode so that its output is compatible and just copy across on a USB stick if not networked

Well I'de want to set up my 3 axis hobbycnc controller at the same time if possible.

Axis-mm in metric right? So I will just choose axis because my units are in inches.

But yes, for this time I want to simulate my G-Code.

What if I want to setup my controller do I choose the same settings and then modify them or do I choose something else?

Hi

What you want is stepconf to make an initial config

See the Getting Started Manual

linuxcnc.org/docs/2.5/html/config/stepconf.html
