Hi,
very basic question:
I have a spindle configuration as follows
The output of my 7i33 on port DRV0 is between 0 and 10 VDC, so this works correctly.
But how do I need to wire the interface of the spindle with DRV0?
The description of the spindle interface is in the attached image.
very basic question:
I have a spindle configuration as follows
#spindle
net spindle-on motion.spindle-on => hm2_[HOSTMOT2](BOARD).0.pwmgen.00.enable
setp hm2_[HOSTMOT2](BOARD).0.pwmgen.00.scale 10
setp hm2_[HOSTMOT2](BOARD).0.pwmgen.00.output-type 1
net spindle-speed-out motion.spindle-speed-out => hm2_[HOSTMOT2](BOARD).0.pwmgen.00.value
setp motion.spindle-at-speed 1

From your image it looks like you wire
GND of 7i33 to pin 9 on the drive
0..10V output of 7i33 to pin 10 on the drive
Just be careful with grounding issues. If this drive is a high-power, old, or damaged, or something else is funny, then GND (pin 9) on the drive side could be something wildly different than GND on the PC/mesa side and bad things will happen.

thanks for your reply.
I've connected the inverter as you described it.
I set the scale that with m3 s24000 the spindle should reach full speed.
But there is a strange behaviour, for example, if i enter m3 s21000 or lower the spindle turns off.
Are there any other parameters in hostmot.pwmgen, which i need to set?
thanks

Can you measure the control voltage with a multimeter? Do you see the values you expect?

Thanks for your help, i had a negative voltage at the output of 7i33, which is not supported by the inverter.
Everything seems to work now, thx.
