Hello. I am on my way to buy a Asrock AD2700B-ITX.
Do you have problems with your set up, that seams similar to mine? I am specially concerned about the video card compatibility that does not seam good, and I do not want to buy something that later will give me a lot of problems.

AFAIK the video chip drivers are closed source with no linux version, some of the later versions appear only to offer a 64 bit driver for Windoze
It does however run the vesa drivers which are fine for Linuxcnc
Just don't expect to run HD movies on it or get anything beyond 1024 x 768
I should have a good look around and read up before you buy
regards

No problem with the 2700 at all. I used several variations of it with no problems. I have just received the 2800 as well but not tested it as yet.

Thank you for the fast reply.
What resolution do you use? I ordered a touchscreen and I need the native resolution that is 1280x1024.
I am not a linux expert and I do not want to make a lot of changes just to use the PC.
Thanks

I could setup various resolutions but I always stick to 1024x768. Then I don't have to change to many things.
I kept clear of the touch screen option ( although I want it) because of the difficulty others are having to get them to work.

If you can set up several resolutions then I will order one today.
The touchscreen is more like something to test after, but I would not like to compromise at start.
Thank you very much.
