TB6560 Control Board was created by Candice
Hello!
I have been trying to find the proper documentation on how to set up the TB6560 control board. I think I may have the wrong settings because I cannot get the axis to move when I try to run Stepconf Wizard. This is so very frustrating. I am like there - but nothing works! Does someone have like a visual so I can compare my control board to the real working thing?
I have everything connected properly, I am sure of - but the DP switches - do I have to change those?
Power: OFF, OFF
C36: OFF, OFF
C37: OFF, OFF
X: OFF, OFF, OFF, ON
Y: OFF, OFF OFF, ON
Z: OFF, OFF, OFF, ON
Thank so much.

The Stepconf Wizard will not enable drives or any thing like that so if you need a pin enabled for your board to work you might need to just use the generated configuration to test with.

I am unsure of what you mean.
I looked over that page and I am a little confused.

have you produced a configuration using stepconf ? , this is the first process , or alternatively their is a sample configuration on that wiki page
this is how the Hal and INI files are produced this gives Linuxcnc information as to your machine build and connects the port pins etc
they are located in ~/home/<name>/linuxcnc/configs/<machine>
see chaper 5 in the getting started docs
www.linuxcnc.org/docs/2.5/LinuxCNC_Getting_Started.pdf

the only area I think you have wrong is the estop and amplifier enable , but this is a grey area due to the number of different variations of these boards available
do you have the pdf of the connection information to hand you could post etc , and we can double check this
( also the colour of the pcb resist helps , which is why their is reference to a blue board or red board etc )
net xenable => parport.0.pin-17-out
net estop-out => parport.0.pin-01-out
I am expecting xenable to be pin 1 i.e net xenable => parport.0.pin-01-out
and estop probably to be pin 17 net estop-out => parport.0.pin-17-out
but other than that your files look fine
without the xenable the 6560's essentialy will not move under control and the shafts will turn easily , you will know when this is correct , your stepper shafts will become stiff on power up and unable to turn by hand
Also do not under any circumstances disconnect the motors or wiring of these boards whilst under power , they pop at the slightest problem , and become junk. always power off first .
