Elefu setup? was created by Alexncus
Newbie. Successfully installed linuxcnc on PC. Trying to config parport for USB connection to drive new elefu board. Anyone have pointers or experience with elefu board?

you can't .. Linuxcnc does not support USB ..
nor can you use a Parrellport to USB convertor .

Ugh. If not LinuxCNC, any comparable / alternative Linux CNC controllers that work with USB to build a CNC mill?

Mach3 seems to use USB, so may be an option. Currently only on Windows, but they have announced the intention of a Linux version.
What does the Elefu board do? It seems to incorporate an Atmega, so I am not clear if it needs any external CNC controller.
