Hello Guys,
Can someone give me some pointers on what I would need to do to run one of my configurations on a laptop I have setup for simulator. I configured per the installation wiki for simulator, but as soon as I try to start my config, it faults out.
I think I need to modify my hal file, but dont know where to start.
Thanks
Rick

you need to bypass things such as limits , see the configs /sim folder for examples and files that will bypass whats needed such as motion pins

Hi
I do this a lot, it takes surprisingly little turn a running config into a sim
If it helps attached is most of a lathe config which I turned into a sim
The lines marked #&&&&&&&&&&& are where I commented out a part of the config to run as a sim, as opposed to other reasons
As cncbasher says, largely limits, estop, charge pump etc
regards
