MPG and 7i76 was created by Duc
Manage to find a mill control panel for a decent price on ebay but unsure now if the MPG handwheel will be compatible with my current setup. The panel will be a nice addition to the mill and saves a bunch of time of building one from scratch.

Mesa 5i25, 7i76
24 field power

After purchased the panel I found more pictures of the handwheel and it states 12V power input on the back. I also have a power supply for 5v and 12v if needed.

Is the MPG useable with my setup?

It should work wired to the MPG inputs on the 7I76 (inputs 16,17 or 18,19)

It looks like the MPG has differential outputs so you can just use S1+ and S2 +
or S1- and S2-

So I just need to wire up the 12v power supply into the system and I should have no issues with the 7i76 with 12v power going into the inputs? The manual is a little lack on information about it.

Thanks

I suspect that the outputs are 5V even though the power source is 12V
(12V differential signals are pretty uncommon)

In any case the 7I76 field inputs are ok with up to 40V signals
so 12V signals should work (though the input threshold will stay at 2.5V)
