Example configuration for 5i24 was created by vre
Is there any example configuration for lathe+5i24(or other mesa pci) with /*comments*/ ?
The exact configuration iam searching is 2 axis lathe with 2 servos (step-dir) with quadrature ABZ feedbacks with 4inputs and 4 outputs + 1pwm for spindle (pwm, direction, enable) , 4 limit switches, watchdog and the remaining pins GPIO
I know that i will not find exactly this configuration but i want a base config to start..
thank you.

I think for that configuration (lathe + step/dir with feedback) you are going to have to synthesize a HAL and INI file
from:
1 A generic lathe config
linuxcnc.org/docs/html/config/lathe_config.html
describes the main differences in a a lathe config from a mill config
and there are sample lathe configs included with linuxcnc
2. A step/dir with encoder feedback configuration
freeby.mesanet.com/3x20encstep.zip
Is an example of the hal connections for a Hostmot2 step/dir
closted loop system with encoder feedback
(the card name needs to be changed from 3X20 to 5I24)
