hello
I have a THC analog, I needed a signal to enable and disable this depending on the speed.
everything working I just need this signal.
I tried to see configurations already done, but seeing what I need is quite complicated for me
just an example and do it myself.
Linuxcnc 2.6.3 wheezy on parallel port .
regards
Mauro

It would be helpful if you gave more information. Which THC are you using, hardware, etc.
I use John's THC and just set the variation from command speed and real speed at which the THC is active.

my homebuilt and analog, THC is totally standalone
I only need one pin to enable and disable a function of speed.
Now, unfortunately, if I leave it permanently switched on when the speed is low, tension rises and falls sharply torch on the workpiece.
I would practically a slider to adjust the percentage of speed and a signal to enable or not.

You might want to look here as a starting point...
www.linuxcnc.org/docs/html/man/man9/thc.9.html
So I assume you are saying using Hal if the torch is on and motion.current-vel is within your set tolerance of motion.requested-vel then set the pin to activate the THC?
You might want to also look at the sample configs for plasma such as plasma-5i20 plasma -demo for screen shots.

Yes. m3 activate torch, arc ok = transfer set
G38 for floating switch.
missing deactivation of thc low-speed, I will try to figure out how to use only one of the sample configuration.

You can try this config, it already has a slider for corner lock and a button for turning it off and on. It does work properly, since i use it offten.
linuxcnc.org/index.php/english/forum/49-...hc-config-that-works
It also has pierce height and cut height adjustable, switch travel and Z-axis speed. It does not need G38 or anything of sorst, it does not need anything Z axis related, it does all the logic in hal with an M3 command.
Regards,
Tom
