Using Ubuntu 10.04

I'm just starting out, so I might be missing something. I just upgraded Linux CNC to 2.6.7 it created an extra directory linuxcnc-dev.

I'm using one of those 3020T China systems. I was finally able to get a config to operate it properly and even cut my first radiant piece.

I built a probe to set Z axis but realised I needed to upgrade LinuxCNC to use it.
After the upgrade there is not a gmoccapy selection under applications/CNC.

When I run gmoccapy from command lline I get the following error in a popup.

Found an error!
The following information may be useful in troubleshooting:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/gmoccapy", line 106, in <module>
from gmoccapy import getiniinfo # this handles the INI File reading so checking is done in that module
File "/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/gmoccapy/getiniinfo.py", line 30, in <module>
CONFIGPATH = os.environ
File "/usr/lib/python2.6/UserDict.py", line 22, in __getitem__
raise KeyError(key)
KeyError: 'CONFIG_DIR'

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bob

I guess no one has seen this before. All the views, but no one could help.

Thanks anyway.
