Do you think that the e-stop or charge pump isn't configured correctly? Would that be why the spindle will run when the e stop isn't latched when linuxcnc isn't running? My solid state relay light is on when linuxcnc is off and the e-stop is up, for instance. when i am in linuxcnc the light is off untill i use the spindle.

Is the charge pump enabled on the G540?
Is the stepgen used to run the chargepump enabled by machine-on?
