Hi,

I want to use magnetic position sensor for homing of each joint. Can i use this sensor wtih mesacards ?
www.sick.com/tr/en/product-portfolio/mag...ers/mz2q-t/c/g200476

I am using 2 x Mesa 7i76 card.

Can anybody explain steps of connection and programming ?

If you use the PNP type, you can wire its outputs directly to the 7I76 digital inputs
These are 4 wire sensors so have +power, GND and 2 outputs

Yes it is PNP type but it has 3 wire.

Here is the connection diagram;

+ to field power, - to field GND, NO to the 7i76 digital input pin.

You would need a pullup resister on that no?

I wired + and - cables to the TB1 slot and NO cable to the TB5 slot (INPUT 17). It's light turn on when the actuator's magnetic ring detected by the sensor. But it is not stop the actuator (step motor).

How can i do software settings ?

Can anybody help me ?

My files present in the attachment.

Thanks.

You don't appear to have connected your input 17 to any of the axis homing signals.
You have
net y-home-sw     =>  axis.1.home-sw-in

I have
net Y-home hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.input-03 => joint.2.home-sw-in

Don't worry too much about the fact I'm using joints, but see you are missing the input pin in the middle.

Also the attached files are for a simulation, you need to do a normal config witbout simulation.
