Hi, I have just fitted a stepper motor to my small 8" rotary table, mechanically it works fine and turns the table with no problem.
But I am struggling with the calibration, hope someone can point me in the right direction.

The table is worm driven with a 90:1 ratio (one turn of the worm = 4deg)
the stepper motor is standard 1.8 deg (200 steps per rev)
the table is toothed belt driven at 1:1
The stepper motor is being driven in 2 stepp mode

So in "stepconf" for the "A" axis I have set
Motor steps per rev = 200
Driver Micro setting = 2
Lead screw pitch = 4 deg per rev
Home location = 0
Table travel -360 to 360

When I drive the table the positioning is way out, what am I doing wrong?

Steve

How much is way out?
In stepconfig you have " test axis" and there you have speed and acceleration, also there is a "0.50" and "+ -" and RUN
There put 180 and press RUN. It should do 180 in one direction and back 360 degres and continue doing that until you pre RUN again. Draw a line for reference so you can see if it does full circle.

Hi Tommy
Thanks for your help, It was operator error I had miscounted the amount of turns of the worm, with the correct numbers entered its spot on. :-)
