Hello
I followed Andy's diagram for spindle orientation, the signals all look okay. The spindle rotates normally but in orient mode it is stopped.
Surely it is the pid of position to be calibrated ....
I use a vfd 0-10 volts and in rpm is perfectly in place
If you can help me regulate the pid
Thanks in advance
Mauro

Have you set up the PID terms for the orient PID? What does the system show as the pid.eror and pid, output?

I am still setting the signals according to your schema but i have some doubts about connecting the lowpass and near.
The encoder is 1000 x4 encoder_scale 4000
Speed mode is fine but still needs refinement.
Attached file hal spindle section, in file.ini there are two sections, spindle_9 for velocity mode and spindle_0 for orient mode.
For now I just have to connect well everything.
