Odd Offset after Homing was created by MatthiasF1210
Hi,
currently I am setting up my 3 axis milling machine completely from the scratch.
I changed the configuration from open loop to closed loop. Therefore I am using linear scales.
The setup is working so far but I have difficulties with the homing sequence.
I want to use my limit switches and the index of the linear scale (3rd mode of the Homing Chapter)
The homing sequence works fine. First the switch got touched, then the index is found and the machine is moving to home. But the coordinates are not showing the home position. (see picture)
I tried already G92.1. Nothing changed
I also jogged around and then used G53 G0 X0 Y0 Z0. The machine is moving back to home, but Axis is showing the wrong coordinates.
It seems to me that the encoders are not set to zero while homing.
Any ideas? Maybe something is missing in the hal....
Thanks
Matthias

The problem is you have offsets in the g54 coordinate system. Zero those with the touch off or G10 L20 command.

Thanks Todd,
stupid mistake from my side. It seems after a long day of pid-tuning you cant see simple solutions
