Hi all

I've been looking into this but can't get a definitive answer as to if it's possible.

What I would like to do is wire up all my home inputs into one of the inputs on my MX3660 BOB/stepper driver to free up two for spindle encoding.

Currently I have three proximity switches and they take current direct from a seperate power supply then the 'input' is wired into one input each. Looking at the linux CNC docs it seems to suggest that these can be grouped together (in HAL) and there is also an option in stepconf to share all home switches on one input pin.

Could I connect all the inputs into one pin on the BOB then set it up in stepconf to share these signals. Once it homes axis 1 I can get it to trigger the input then back off a bit so the input is then not triggered. Would it then home the second axis, trigger the input then back off and so on until all are homed?

Yes that very possible, and the way it is often done.

Excellent. I'd seen it documented for limit switches but just not for home switches. I'll crack on with it tomorrow :-)

You can even combine home and limits to one pin.

i got all 9 Switches on one input & for MIN MAX and 3 for REF

You need to get the Sequence and then HOME is not HomeofFset
HOMEOFFET is the Switch
And HOME the Location the Axis moves to after Touching the Switch
So move Free From Switch
