Problem connecting 7i80db to 7i76 was created by Ameone
Hi everyone,
I am trying to interface a mesa 7i80db (the motherboard) with a 7i76 (the daughtercard). The 7i80db communicates with linuxCNC through ethernet connection. Currently, I'm trying to see if the communication works correctly, however LinuxCNC seems to recognize only the 7i80db but not the 7i76. The steps I've tried are:
Do you have any idea on what might be the problem. Thank you in advance.

The avahi complaint is a network setup issue, not related to the 7I80DB or 7I76
Also for the 7I80DB to recognize the 7I76 requires
1. Proper firmware in the 7I80DB
2. 5V and field power on the 7I76

Thank you very much, the problem was just to power the 7i76 both with 5V and field power.
