Control spindle with g code was created by rotccapt
Hello all im having problems getting my spindle to turn on with a M3 command. I can use the button in AXIS to start and stop it but if I issue a midi command for M3 it will not start the spindle. Im using a router motor controlled with a super pid. M5 will turn the spindle off

Don't feel dumb. Linuxcnc should allow you to have them on different lines.
