Hey guys

So, when I was first starting out with LinuxCNC, I found a bit of a gap between those with zero experience and those who were on the verge of godliness without a direct path between the two. The moment I figured out how to link a HAL pin and write a classicladder circuit, I embarked on a little personal journey, so to speak.

It's turned into a bit of a hodgepodge as far as my ordering and playlist management is concerned, since I put up so many videos at once, but I'm gonna work on that as soon as I get a free minute :p

The content seems to be helping out those who watch, so I figured I'd share with the rest. Most of you guys are way beyond the scope of my content, but I'm slowly playing catch-up. I've only been full time into Linuxcnc for a few months, before that I was toggling back and forth between lcnc and crap3, I guess you can kinda tell who won that battle :p

Enjoy

Know them feels... My pinky fell victim to a minor slip into the business end of a reciprocating saw the other day when the blade caught the edge of the table i was cutting... Long story. Hope your eye feels better soon.

Thanks for the kudos! Hope the content is up to par, I'm still new to this Linux stuff

That's the sweet-spot for tutorials. When you can still remember what is non-obvious.

I've built a 6 figure career out of staying 5 minutes in front of the guy I'm teaching

Just finished watching the tutorial videos, well done. Very simple and quite clear explanation that a complete novice such as myself understood. Left a comment on your channel and copied below, maybe you can answer them here?

I'm laying out enclosure for PrintNC build, after searching ad infinitum I found the answer explained to me in plain layman's terms the proper way to wire a hold switch not through a contactor via your plainly and easy to grasp explanation. Thank you. Would you explain how the other two buttons get wired in and how connected to the Mesa board? You show the leads to the board but not much more about them. Secondly, I followed your Amazon affiliate link for the Dinkle terminal blocks, it is pointing to DK2.5N. I imagine that your 220 line in is 30A, the DK2.5 are rated for 20A, any concern with that? I haven't found or provided an answer as to how to size them so I was considering the DK6N (50A) or at the minimum DK4N (30A) for VAC distribution.

I thought about uploading PDF of my enclosure schematic and solicit your opinion/guidance but didn't think that would be appropriate in this thread. I'll have to peruse forum subjects and find appropriate place to do so...
