Base period was created by madguernseyboy
Hi all.
I am not pushing the limits of my cnc machine and never had an issue.
But I am currently upgrading from 2.7 to 2.8
should i be concerned my base period is so high? 150000ns
I can't afford to replace the machine right now. any recomendations?
Brendan

Upgrading from 2.7 to 2.8 has no effect on latency.
If that latency works for you, do not worry about it.
BUT, if you go from Wheezy to Buster, that will have an impact on latency, in your case i have no idea if it will be better or worse.
Download the Buster version, write it to a USB and boot the PC in Live mode, test the latency.
