Homing setup was created by CaspianCmonster
I am sure I am overlooking something simple but anyway here is the issue.
I am finally setting up my router with inductive homing switches (no limit switches) I have wired up the X axis and am trying to test it out. I am using Axis 2.8.1 for the interface and when I click on the Home Axis button (for the X) it homes as I expect in that it returns to the same location every time within about 0,01mm which is really good) what it doesn't do is set the position relative to the new home? (in my case it keep saying home is 56.501mm when it should be zero.

thanks

Luke

homing sets the machine origin, but then applies the current user cordinate system (usually g54).
Linuxcnc remembers the coordinate system offset from last time it was shut down.
To get linuxcnc to say zero then you need to zero out the coordinate system offset.
