Hi. I just got my first mesa card trying to run some nema 32 with Encoders. I powered the mesa 7i96s with 5V and started configuring it, but in TB3 I am getting a gray on pin Type also I don't see the option to choose Step gen or Dir Gen as in this tutorial video. Where Is my mistake? I have connected a single driver currently on pins +- STEP and Dir (pins 2,3,4,5 if I count the first pins (GND as 1)), but have not powered the driver as I want to configure the card first

TB3 on a 7I96S is isolated input and outputs, not step/dir pins.
The inm pin options are grayed-out because you cannot change their mode,
only their LinuxCNC function.

Does that mean that their name is different or? Where do I set which pins should output to my drivers?

For example, to setup stepgen 0 for the X axis, you would
1. Select TB1/TB2 tab
2. Pulldown menu on say "Unused StepGen" 0
3. Select "Axis" --> "Main Axis" --> "X Axis StepGen"
This will make 7I96S StepGen 0 (TB1 pins 1..6) the X axis StepGen
1. Select TB1/TB2 tab
2. Pulldown menu on say "Unused StepGen" 0
3. Select "Axis" --> "Main Axis" --> "X Axis StepGen"
This will make 7I96S StepGen 0 (TB1 pins 1..6) the X axis StepGen
