Joint2 following error, during homing switch reports on, 7i97

I am going to post the config shortly, but I see the homing switch coming on in the hal config. any ideas ? just switched from a 7i77 to a 7i97 and the servos are working,. encoders are giving proper feedback. I basically grabbed the example 7i97 configuration file posted here and fixed the pin addressing and net assignments and it shows that the joint2-sw-in-home and joint2-sw-in-min or max tried both , do report the signal.

There was a bug in homing to index that was fixed fairly recently (Nov 2022) :

You might try updating to the latest


 

you see anything in that config that looks wrong ? this is a migration to a different card, and so far everything seems to work, I am also getting following errors on Y during deceleration. That is a fairly new install, but I will check the version and date on it 

Are there any things to need to be adjusted in the INI in regard to the change from the 7i77 to the 7i97 ? I already figured out the pin naming changes.

The tuning probably needs work
(a 1.00 FF1 value only works if the joint velocity at 10V=10 IPS)

If you use a 1.00 FF1 value, you need to adjust the output scale
and limits to machine units/second at 10V

yeah, it's a new servo on the Y, it's also different type than the other 2, so probably just needs tweaking.the dc drive burned up so in with a ac servo

anything catching the eyeballs for the home error on Z though ?

On Z it may be the index bug I related on a previous response (I'm not sure if this was fixed in 2.8)

yeah, I get that but it was working prior, to changing to the 7i97,so I'm wondering if I have something setup wrong in the hal or 8ni.

Might be, the index error only shows up  in certain circumstances
(when velocity at index detection  is less that 1 count/servo thread)

This is affected by distance from home to index, and homing speeds

I've turned the homing speed down a lot, if that's the case, what can i do to speed up the io reporting from the 7i97 ?? i suspect this is part of my servo tuning issue as well.
