The key thing here is that gpio.008.in is not a limit switch input
but a pin that reflects the state of PWM enable.

[HMOT](CARD0).inmux.00.input-08 is the actual limit switch input

The state of gpio.008.in will change because a following error will disable
the analog outputs (turning the 7I97 enable outputs off and setting the analog voltage to 0)
