They may try, but their will always be ways around that . If they put computer code to slow them down someone will
find a way to bypass it. It's human nature.

I think eventually we'll see the electric bikes more present on the road, but I don't think there will be any +200 mph rockets that you can be off the showroom floor......I suspect the powers that be will love speed limiting them. You know we can't be trusted.

This arvo we spent 30 minutes installing a throttle controller into my Hilux. Of course we went straight to race mode and dialled it up to 9. It was raining a bit and I found it impossible to take off without spinning the wheels. I'm sure someone will come up with the electric equivalent!

Here I go again.
Me and my sister have been riding E bikes for a little while now and of course I can't leave anything alone.
I switched the batteries over to be in a back pack and moved everthing from my hardtail to my
full suspension Mountain bike . I next did the same thing to my sisters mountain bike . The next project for her bike
will be upgrading the front suspension fork . Only one big hold up any good fork has a 1-1/8" threadless steerer shaft
and her bike currently uses a 1" threaded steerer shaft.
The good news is the 1-1/8" shaft will fit through the bearing cups currently on her bike . After some searching
for an adapter bearing type system and coming up empty handed I decided to make my own .
Once you have tools another world of possibilities always opens up. So I will be using my recently purchased lathe
to build adapter cups to fit the new bearings ( ACB 36 x 36d 1-1/8" MR049 ) to the bike .
We will see if it actually works . LOL

I keep looking at the hybrid car stators / rotors in the scrap bins at work and wondering "Would anyone notice if one followed me home"
Unfortunately if they did notice I would suddenly have a lot more time to devote to LinuxCNC, and a lot less money.

Me and my sister finally got around to test riding her bike with the new fork . What a difference it made . A decent air fork
does wonders and the bike doesn't creek and bang while cycling the suspension anymore. Now
to find some trails to see how it really does.
