Glad I live on a hill
It seems pretty surreal, as its not even raining yet!

Our turn down under! Cyclone Alfred is barelling down on us (about 350 km away) and is expected to make a direct hit on Brisbane where I live in the next couple of days. Its been 50 years since the last Cyclone hit causing the 1974 floods in the Brisbane river catchment. Looking forward to 7-10 metre high seas, high winds and 300-400mm of rain coming along with it. Dams are already full at about 98% capacity so its likely to be pretty massive when it hits...Well this sucks. My area only got side swiped by Helene and it still did heavy damage. Now we have Milton and it's projected to smack
into or very near my area as a Category 3/4.

Yeh, I saw you had been there. Its still very normal here and Alfred has decided to be a day late.
There is some pretty rough weather to the south of us even though we are closer to the crossing point
