Help! EMC2.3.0-2.3.4.4 crash on exit

For starters, I'm another Linux noob delving into this for the first time...

Ubuntu 8.04 installed to HD from a live disc distro of EMC. Hardware is working great and os is configured just right for my tastes so far.

I've tried versions 2.3.0 and 2.3.4.4 of EMC2 with the same results. On exiting the application, I get a crash and a debug report.

Any help in figuring out how to solve this? It wont save any config info so my in-app changes are not being stored. I have to calibrate every time as well, so it looks like these changes are not being saved.

I've also tried working with some of the example configs and it crashes on exit for them as well.



Any help would be HUGELY appreciated!!!!
