Fatal Errors Installing on Parallels.

Out of curiosity, I tried the 2.7 Live CD with VirtualBox on my old Mac, and it runs without problem (With default settings, that is only 12MB video memory and no video acceleration).


From your log file:
[   52.427574] axis[3824]: segfault at 9e62000 ip b768d421 sp bfee7ea8 error 6 in libc-2.13.so[b7572000+15e000]

Is very strange because it is the python executable crashing in libc -- that does not happen very often.

Does it generates a 'core' somewhere? that would allows us to get at stack trace...

I haven't solved the problem, but I've got where I wanted to go by using Fusion instead.

If you want to pursue the error, I will help. I threw away the Parallels VM, but I am sure I can reproduce the error. How do I get you the core ?

If you have a solution, I don't think anybody here is keen to investigate further -- as it seems to be very specific to Parallels... ;)

Note that if you are going away from Parallels, you might want to consider VirtualBox which works very well and is free...
