Yeah Ive had especially good luck with the Elite 8300s (I5 2900 MHz) with Preempt-RT

They run Ethernet at 4KHz easily (once you turn off the Intel Ethernet spyware by disabling AMT in the BIOS setup)

lol … Yes I am trying to get PREEMPT RT into my release...

I just cannot figure out how to do it yet... but getting closer

and yes the existing is 4:15.0-34-generic, mine is now 4.15.0-37 because an upgrade worked but no preempt yet

Thanks for this one, much appreciated and in usage for my machine in combination with Xubuntu 16.04. :laugh:

But for now I've got a problem with the pendant XHC-HB04L (wireless, 18-buttons): Trying to compile the used commandline tool is functional, but using this under Axis is not possible and when I quit LinuxCNC I get the following error message (tried out with my local terminal):

Perhaps this is connected with the used version of libusb under Xenial? Anyone got an idea?
