That is easy, just pick one of the administrators or moderators of this forum, send him or her a machine for free or for a limited period of time, and many will get you a working config for version 2.7 and 2.8.
Or you can ask us how to configure it yourself and we will gladly help.
If anyone already has a working config they will post it for sure.

Thank you, this is a very interesting way. Unfortunately, the transfer of the CNC machine and the control computer will cost me more than the machine itself and the computer.

This is more real for me. Moreover, I already had to install EMC2 several times before. But now, I have obviously run into some kind of underwater rock. I am ready to do this.

If anyone already has a working config they will post it for sure.

It will be wonderful! If such work is already done - why do it again?

You learn something new.

Maybe you are right, but I have some academic doubts ...
With all due respect to the efforts and resources invested in the EMC2/LCNC, I consider it a temporary and transitional solution.
I believe that it will be replaced by a qualitatively different one, built on a platform with a hard real-time, and most likely - an embedded platform.
From the EMC2/LCNC will remain a visualization subsystem and elements of KAD/CAM. Perhaps, there will still be a system of interaction with the HID periphery.

Hi Ogo,

This product has standard a embedded cnc controller.

It is a lot of work to modify this product. Better buy something else.

I'm sorry, but I did not understand what you mean?

What product are you talking about? Which controller does not make sense to modify?
Did I miss something?

Actually its not clear what you have, some 3040Z-DQ's come with USB motion controllers and some are parallel port compatible. A parallel port model would work directly with LinuxCNC.

The USB model would not work without some modification (removing the USB motion interface at a minimum perhaps re-wiring the USB interface to the drives/limit switches if its not brought out to a parallel port pinout at some point)

My control station - without any signs of USB.
Strict, conservative LPT-port. Photo attached.

P.S. The goat is wonderful!!

Did the manufacturer or seller supply you with a Mach3 configuration file? If you happen to have that xml file Stepconfig in Linuxcnc can import it to help build a linuxcnc config.
