2.8 RTAI as productive system was created by DomCa
Hi all,
I am running my CNC with a 2.7.14 install with RTAI. For me RTAI is a must because I run with ParPort.
I would now like to play with Gmoccapy and QTPYVCP. I already did a quick test install of this: forum.linuxcnc.org/9-installing-linuxcnc...or-new-rtai-packages
Is 2.8pre in a state to use it as replacement for my 2.7.14?
If I now set up a 2.8pre system, will I be able to upgrad to release 2.8?
Thanks for the help!

Ive been running the pre and 2.8 on my paraport on stretch fine. Qtpyvcp also
Save a copy the config. When you run it will update it to 2.8 config and save a back up
Jitter was a little higher on stretch
