Black screen after booting was created by jimjama
After installing the wheezy ISO file when i try and reboot into the system i get the boot page fine, but when i select the option to boot into Debian (Recovery or regular) i just get a black screen. The same goes for when trying to start from a live boot on the USB. The same USB works fine in my friends laptop and on my professors computer. The HDD I'm trying to boot it on works fine with Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Windows. All install and boot up properly, so there's no issue with the HDD. My prof. thinks its my motherboard? I have an MSI MPG Z390 also paired with a NVIDIA RTX 2070. Anybody have any clue?

Wheezy is past support period, so should not be used for most use cases.
There are new ISO's that you can use and that should work properly with your hardware, but i think the latency will suffer from all the power saving features crammed into the Nvidia card, but how much of an impact it will have i do not know. I have GTX1060 and that is still usable with Noveau drivers, but not very usable with Nvidia proprietary drivers.

By the end of that topic are the newest versions, try the RT version, not RTAI, since it is a new laptop chances are it has no parallel port, so no need fro it.
Also keep in mind that most laptops are not suitable fro controlling the machine due to above mentioned power saving feature, but there are some that do work, rarely.

That will most probably not work with the Wheezy version due to the RTX, you should be able to force it by adding "nomodeset" to the Grub startup line, but i would not bother.I have an MSI MPG Z390 also paired with a NVIDIA RTX 2070. Anybody have any clue?

My bad, way to fast reading...and typing, and then errors !
You are welcomed always.
Give the new ISO a try, use the Mate version since the PC has plenty of power.
