Buildbot repositories down? was created by oddwick
just got my new 7i96 (thanks JT!) and was setting up a dummy system to familiarize myself with it, and it seems that the 2.8 and 2.9 repos are down. started with no release file errors, so used trusted=yes, and now keep getting 403 errors. for now i am going to build from source, but was there a url change or are the servers down or being reconfigured by chance?

Yes, seems to be an issue, no idea when it will be resolved.

so if im reading your answer right, i take it as no url change, yes servers down, and no reconfig. so basically, make a sandwich, relax, and check back later...
just wanted to make sure it wasnt a configuration issue on my end

Yea i did post on another thread that the servers are not down, but the access to them is limited.
Sandwich is a good idea right about now. Just as soon as i finish sipping my double choca mocha.

You can set up a new machine from the released repositories. www,linuxcnc.org/dists is still working
What LinuxCNC version, Linux distribution and realtime kernel were you wanting to use?

I had already downloaded an Debian stretch 2.7 iso and installing that works great.
Installing on a spare machine, my 7i96 needs some tweaked settings too, also needs 2.8.
And my cnc machine is a gantry style machine, with two Y axis steppers. You guessed, needs 2.8 at least.
Hopefully everything starts working soon again. I never drank so much coffee in a day,

Well, I just bought a new 23" 1920x1080 touchscreen monitor especially to experiment with probe-basic. Probe-basic needs at least 2.8 so I kinda wasted a day here. What LinuxCNC version, Linux distribution and realtime kernel were you wanting to use?
