No and not planing to, the "influencer's" keep forgetting to tell us just what headache that is. It fails, a lot.
As it is, using the USB is enough liability, adding another set of comms is really asking for trouble.

I think I will put a pin in that route for a "try later" when the machine is dialed in and running properly.
I have seen some of the influencers comment on it, as a not for the novice crowd. It's a shame MESA
doesn't make a 3D printer controller board. But I guess that would also mandate a major add-on to
LinuxCNC. Oh well hope springs eternal.

It's not the board, it's Klipper.
Any board will work for 3D printing and any old PC, not just RPI (i was p.o. at those influencers that always started with "you need a RPI..." ), i have an Acer tablet attached to one of the Vorons that was never shut down, for over 2 years, that poor Voron is always ready to start printing, even from the phone, even if i am in say Australia (got invited there recently for when it gets hot over there
), and no i do not use remote desktops and teamviewer n'stuff, i use telegram, so no open ports and perfectly safe.
It would be blasphemy, but that would require FPGA to run klipper firmware in worst case, or add pressure advance and input shaping to LinuxCNC, or at least a way to set some values and be done with it.
Meaning, use a klipper board to test and get those values for advance and shaping, then plug those in LinuxCNC and live happily ever after.

2 for homing, 1 for bed/height/leveling sensor, 2 analog ones for temperature
2 PWM outputs for heaters, 1 for fan ...
that is the minimum required

The real trick is going to be the many stepper driver ports. 7 in the case of the Vor. 2.4.

Yes, sorry, did not mention it as that is always implied, normally 4 motors then add as needed.
BTW you can do Voron with just one Z motor and have all side coupled with shafts and pulleys/belts, but that leaves auto squaring/leveling out.
Most of my Vorons have 2 boards, this was very nice for the big one (460x460x1200) as one board is on the gantry and only needs power cable USB cable, while the other board is under taking care of 4 motors and the bed. Any chance i get, i will modify the rest like this, broken cables are the only issues i had with them, ever, due to small radius of cable chains and bad quality cable.

Wait is your big one set up as a 2.4 or a Trident? Eventually I am looking to build a 2.4 version with a 600mm cubed
work envelope (or bigger). Just not this round. LOL

2.4 with round rods on Y and Z, and 10mm belts, not the usual 6mm.
