Homing my greatest bugbear. I simply can't get my head around this one.
I wish to have my new machine home X axis and Z axis using one pin IE pin 11
and the two Y axes  on pin 12.
I would prefer to have the Z axis home before the X.
The 2 Y axes should home together in whichever drive arrives first.
I have tried a number of things but have reverted to this setup.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Paul

It is not possible to use the same pin for tandem axis homing, but you can use one pin for home_all and the second for home Y2 as in the attached example from a working machine.

Also note how Tommy has used HOME_SEQUENCE to home the Z axis first.

if you have CRLF as line endings, there is a command line program dos2unix (might need installing) that will clean it up.
In Windows you can use notepad++ and it has settings to talk in linux format (no CR)

Thanks Rod I had seen your post on that subject earlier.
Now I have been banging my head on setting up NPN NC induct prox switches and one of my concerns is that maybe the parport is faulty or not configured right.
The par port tester in the wiki is broken page 404 not found for the files.
Fortunately I found Big John T's file and script here.

Parallel port tester is included with LinuxCNC, use the config picker to find it, it copies itself into your working config folder so you can edit it there, if needed.
