VIPA COUPLER 053-1EC01

HI at all.
I want use ethercat coupler 053-1EC01 with additional card for encoder read 050-1BA10.
I have test with generic mode , but not understand how read position counter value, because the ethrcat not is in run , i thing because the xml file not is correct .

Please can help with some xml example create on twicat .
I don't understand the PDO area input and output .

you have try with ethercat -slaves command ? What the list of componet these command show?

any how if you search an example ... there are rodw example online: cia402_example_byRodw

Greetings everyone. In the xml file, looking for the text 050-1BA10 , the configuration of the PDOs is displayed. IN attachment is a screenshot of my xml file and the error in dmesg. If I run the ethrcat slave command, it replies: 0 0:00 preop E 0x0000022b:0x0531ec01. I can't understand why dmesg gives me an error on the sdo, if I only pointed to the pdo in the xml file.

sdo error, is related to pdo configuration, pdo config in the slave is done by sdo communication...
You can't config the pdos from this slave with the master, so set config-pdos to false.

You have to map all pdos from the card in your xml file to get it work
In:
7000/01/32 Bit
7000/02/32 Bit
7000/03/16 Bit
out:
6000/01/32 Bit
6000/02/16 Bit
6000/03/16 Bit


the above should also be displayed when you use "ethercat -pdos" command

I have correct config-pdos to false, but now have in dmesg :

PDO entry 0x7000:01 is not mapped

The value start index object 1600 for out and 1a00 for in are correct ?

i have test with 7001:01 and 6001:01 but have the same result.

the configuration is :

idx=2 pdo index 1600 dir out
7000:01-32-u32
idx=3 pdo index 1a00 dir in
6000:01-32-u32

In your reply you have write 7000 index input area , but is is out area and 6000 in out area, but it is input area.

i thing the xml is correct , have some dubt on index 1600 and 1a00.

have some idea.

HI. now ethercat is running .
IN the attachment the xml file used.
on the hal pin not see value the counter , but thing will  fix  some value  in control word .

with configPdos = false not running .
