How to connect after source code download linuxcnc and ethercat

Hi all, I am following this method to install linuxcnc and ethercat from source and then I am not very clear about the process behind it, is there any way I can download and configure the connection using cia-402 or can I just configure the hal file to connect.
I hope to get help from all of you.

from PART3 of that post really is all clear ,,,, perhaps you can dowload from ethercat 1.6 etherlab repo... use that wiki than retunt i "corbett" post to complete the process ... it is all clear .... sometime when I'm very tired i find these type of instructions annoing and too hard ... but if I try and make some error, interest grow up and magically all become more clear ....
