Good idea.
Some small hints might have helped me. Also after I understand I see that all is written in your doc. ;-()
1. Explaining that negative MAXPROBE is needed when you work with tool zero on top with cutting towards higher negative values.
2. State clearer that you calculate the "heights" always a positive values seen from table

May be it is even worse to joint the two parts of the tool measurements, as in actual doc it is parted.
